Dalibor Boljun (1981, Pula) graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Pula in 2005 at the Department of Accordion. During schooling, he participated in many national and international competitions, where he won first places on several occasions. He is a four-time winner of the absolute first prizes in Erbezzo, Italy (1995, 1996, 2003 and 2005). At the 53rd World Accordion Trophy in the Senior category, he won the 3rd place. In addition to solo performances, he excelled in chamber music, winning first prizes at national and international competitions in Pula, Bjelovar, Erbezzo, Castelfidardo… In addition to regular schooling, he also studied at international seminars with A. Skljarov, J. Shishkin, P. Soave, L. Gore, J. Crabba, J. M. Fabiano, D. Modrušan, O. Murray and others. He is a member of jury at various international competitions, such as: Pula international accordion competition, Accordion Days Smederevo, Croatian Accordion Competition in Daruvar, Music Festival in Aranđelovac. He is the Croatian representative as a member of the jury and a delegate to the World Accordion Trophy and the World Cup. His students are winners of numerous awards and absolute winners in national and international competitions (Pula international accordion competition, Croatian Accordion Competition in Daruvar, Accordion Days in Smederevo, Accordion Fest in Tivat (Montenegro), Accordion Art in East Sarajevo (Bosnia and Hercegovina), International Competition Loznica, Aranđelovac (Serbia), Erbezzo, Castelfidardo (Italy), Victoria (Canada), Harbin (China), the National Accordion Competition HDGPP, etc.), based on which he was awarded the "Porin for Art" for excellent results in working with students. He is a lecturer at seminars for classical accordion in Tinjan, Pula, Slavonski Brod, Virovitica and Kragujevac. He is the founder and president of "MAKord" (association for the promotion of young local musicians). He was also the leader of the Pula international accordion competition and the Summer Accordion School of OKUD "Istra". From 2011 to 2024, he taught accordion at the music school in Makarska, and he is currently teaching at music schools in Novigrad and Kastav (Rijeka).
