Elsbeth Moser (1949, Bern, Switzerland) the bayan soloist and one of the most outSanding concert artists performing on this instrument. She studied in Bern and Trossingen, (in Germany), and in 1983. she was appointed as the accordion professor at the Hannover university of music, drama and media. Since 1998 she has been elected as honorary professor at the Music Conservatories of Tianjin and Shanghai in China, and at the Academy of Music in Pula, Croatia.

Elsbeth Moser has received numerous prizes (first prizes in Evian and Annemasse in 1969 and 1972, the Bernhard-Sprengel-Preis of the City of Hanover in 1979), and was awarded Germany’s highest civil honor by Roman Herzog, president of Germany, for her contribution in establishing the accordion as a concert instrument. Her international breakthrough came when Gidon Kremer invited her to Lockenhaus, where she performed in the premiere recording in the “West” of Sofia Gubaidulina’s „Seven words“ with David Geringas and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen directed by Mario Venzago.

She collaborates in chamber music performances with artists such as Maria Kliegel, Karine Georgian, Heinrich Schiff, and Boris Pergamenchikov. She has performed with various orchestras including the Züricher Kammerorchester, Kremerata Baltica, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the Münchner Kammerorchester.

Elsbeth Moser has, also, appeared at music festivals like: Melos-Ethos (Bratislava, Slovakia), Les Museiques (Basle, Switzerland), the Rheingau Music Festival, 2 Days and 2 Nights (Odessa, Ukraine), MBZ and others.

In February 2017 with the Boston Symphony Orchestra she played the World premiere performance of the Triple Concerto for violin, cello, Bayan and Symphony Orchestra by Sofia Gubaidulina who had also dedicated the Concerto to her. After the premiere performance in Boston the Concerto was performed in New York's Carnegie Hall as well as in some of the most renowned concert halls of Germany, France, Switzerland, Holland, etc.
